Waynesburg, a forerunner to what is now Sandy Valley, had an impressive run of athletes near the middle of the 29th century. We document the three-year run during the 1950s when the Mohawks were 39-0 in league play. We also tell stories about the Mohawk teams that went to the state tournament in 1934, 1943, 1946, 1950 and 1951.
