Jerry Michna got the Aquinas track and cross country programs rolling in 1969 and continued all the way until 1995. For 26 years Michna built programs with great depth that led to multiple state titles and extensive winning streaks. Coach Michna is in studio to give us a first hand account of these amazing years while Lee Sommers, Lehman’s cross country coach in the seventies, calls in to detail exactly what it was like competing against Michna’s program.

Angelo Pederzolli, the current track coach at Aquinas, is our second guest to talk about his 11 consecutive district titles in track, and the success of Corey Glines, heading to Michigan on a running scholarship. Kyronne Jackson calls in to talk about the Pederzolli’s early years as the track coach. And finally, Matt Reneker joins to the program to talk about his years being affiliated with the Aquinas running programs. If you’re looking for a comprehensive look at the history of the St. Thomas Aquinas track and cross country program from inception to present day, well you’ve come to the perfect place!
